After years of making applesauce on the stove top, I stumbled across this recipe for baked applesauce and knew I had to give it a try. This recipe couldn’t be easier, just cut, season and bake-that’s it! I never buy applesauce from the store anymore, it is just too easy to make at home. Besides when you make it in your own kitchen you can decide how much sugar and spices go into it. There is nothing better than making applesauce with apples hand-picked by yours truly. Not only is applesauce great by itself, I love to bake with it, put some in my morning oatmeal and place a dollop on top of grilled pork chops. Trust me-applesauce and pork chops are a match made in heaven! 😀

Someone else out there who appreciates applesauce and pork chops!! Baked applesauce definitely looks delicious!
Seriously? Wow, it looks delicious! I have a recipe for crock pot applesauce I was going to try too, but this seems even easier!!
Looks wonderful and like the other version, I like that it doesn’t call for much sugar.
I make apple sauce on the stovetop and this does look easier. Once I’ve gone through what I’ve already made and canned, I’ll be sure to give this a try.Did I mention how much I love apple sauce?
I’d heard that this was possible before, but I’d not found a recipe. Thanks- gonna try it now!
I have pork chops in the fridge and apples on the counter… I think I’m ready for a heavenly match 😉
Thanks for another great recipe!

Homemade Applesauce is the best! 😀
BAKED!? Yes. This is amazing. I’ve made it in a crockpot before and I’ve heard of the stovetop method, but this is totally new. Awesome!
Great method! I actually make my applesauce unsweetened for myself, but I add a bit of sugar to get my husband to eat it.
I love pork chops and applesauce! Great combination. I’ve never seen a baked applesauce but I’m loving the simplicity of it!
Great idea – you could even stick a joint of pork in the oven at the same time!
